B-day art for Kensou

Well, well, well, hello! Look what I've got here, new art!! Here's a painting I did for Kevin's 26th birthday (I was late as always though). Please click here to see full details on my group blog with Kensou.

She Wolf!!

Woohoo!!! After working on and off for a few MONTHS, I finally finished coloring this drawing!
I did the sketch back in September, and not long after that, I'd found a new job which sort of made my life busier, leaving less time for drawing and such... although it is an excuse after all, I know I need to work harder >_<

The drawing is based off Shakira's "She Wolf" video.(The song is just alright if you ask me, but dang, she's definitely hot in the video!)

Various photos of Shakira have been used for reference as I sketched out the pose and worked on coloring. Not just photos of the video still frames, but also several candid pictures of Shakira, just for brief reference on her overall skin tone and facial features, since making it photo-realistic was not my intention for this drawing.

I spent a great amount of time on painting her face because I like drawing and painting faces :P

It's a shame that the image quality has been compressed so bad after it's uploaded to the internet though, especially when I view it on a mac computer :/

NEW ART BLOG!

Yes! New art blog from me!
Well, also from Kevin Kensou this time. We decided we want to motivate each other and just keep each other focused on art and whatnot, hence the birth of this new art blog.

Our idea is to show off our rough sketches, works in progress, and of course, completed art, as well as post up things that are inspirational art-wise. So it'll be more art-oriented than this personal blog I'm keeping right now. I'm actually thinking about closing down this blog... Still debating on it though. But oh well, please go check the new blog now!

Allen Iverson decides to retire......

Man,Allen Iverson, "the best little guard to ever play the game of basketball" as they call him.

Always true to himself, always loyal to the team & his people.
Played every game like its his last, always gave his 200%.
Bleeding in his mouth during a game?He swallowed the blood!!
Kobe & LeBron may be the top players, but they don't have the same influence on people like me who can't play basketball.
People like me look up to him for his passion and his loyalty and just his mottos in life.

I've loved him since 2001, and I'll forever respect and love him regardless.

All Star game 2001... the East was lagging behind the West by no fewer than 15 points after 2 quarters. Slowly, bit by bit, AI caught up all the points, and led the East to win in the end!! ...
I'll never forget that.

Some folks are saying what he's doing is selfish, that he doesn't want to accept the fact that he's not the center of a team anymore. I do agree that he has too much pride, but I also think that he has every right to choose whatever way to end his career. He figured his family needs him more than the league does at this point. Therefore, he's choosing to walk away with dignity. He'd said it years ago that he didn't want to be Michael Jordan, or Magic Johnson, etc, he wanted to be able to look in the mirror and say, "I did it my way."

AI, you're truly one of a kind.
Ain't no other player can ever hold the same place you do in lots of people's hearts.

Been a while!
